10 Baking Tools You Need in Your Kitchen

I won’t waste your time and and tell you to go buy teaspoons and whisks (though, I could talk about those at length!). You probably already have those, along with all the other tools that come in a basic kitchen set. The utensils and gadgets on this list are slightly less common, the kind that, when I’m packing to go stay at an AirBnB or a friends’ house, I consider tucking away in my suitcase because I know the host’s house probably won’t have them.

This is a list primarily for baking tasks, though many of the below do double or triple duty in my kitchen. Maybe one day I will write a list of the tools I love to use while cooking. I know we’re in the midst of Amazon’s Prime Day — and sometimes I buy stuff on there! — but, I don't know … try to buy some things from a local baking/cooking store if you can. Restaurant supply stores also carry almost everything on this list in store and online.
